The below is just a sample of some of the work I’ve completed over the years. For a full overview of my employment history, including all the clients I’ve worked with, please visit the about page.
Web Design and Development
A former anime fan and Deakin student, I joined DAC’s council in 2006 as their IT manager. This gave me the opportunity to develop a fresh new website for them, which I have been hosting ever since. However, in late 2010 I thought it was time for a fresh coat of paint – this new website includes a new news system, the use of their forums as a full CMS to manage content, a revised approach to the library, and the ability for members to rate screened anime.
Web/Confirmit Development
Developed as a part of my work with Towers Watson, the Telstra Culture survey was a survey website for Telstra staff. The survey website was developed with the Confirmit CMS using tools and templates that I had developed at the company. Most notably, the website included a custom login feature, where retail staff would go through a user verification check.
Web/Confirmit Development
In 2010, as a part of my work with Towers Watson, I was tasked with developing Shangri-La’s first online employee survey (previously they had been conducted via paper). The project presented numerous challenges, mostly regarding translations, with the website incorporating languages like Arabic (a right-to-left language) and Burmese, a language very rarely used on the web.
Web/Confirmit Development
This was the second time I had the opportunity to develop the website for the CoPP’s staff survey. The site was designed to match the branding specifications of the CoPP, and incorporate all the standard features of a Towers Watson employee survey, such as ‘Finish Later’ functionality, organisation structure navigation, progress bars, and a quick-access definitions pane.
Web/Confirmit Development
Developed at Towers Watson, the CitiPower/PowerCor online survey was a fresh and easy-to-use survey website. The look and feel was modified from the design of the paper-based survey component. The site incorporates features such as opinion-row highlighting (usability feature), and ranking questions.
Web/Confirmit Development
The Optus ‘Your Say’ project (part of a larger Singtel-wide survey) involved developing 6 separate websites: a survey website for Optus and each subsidiary (Uecomm, Alphawest, Virgin Mobile & PPS), and a password-resend site allowing staff to retrieve their survey passwords. Each site incorporated its own distinct branding and customised content.
Web/Confirmit Development
In early 2010 an internal effort at Towers Watson was underway to develop a full-feature demonstration survey for marketing purposes. Working with colleagues from the London and Chicago offices, I led the development that created this comprehensive marketing tool. The website demonstrates all available features clients can incorporate into their survey websites, and also includes a special configuration page for Towers Watson consultants.
Web/Confirmit Development
Goldman Sachs JBWere Australia undertook it’s ‘engage’ survey with Towers Watson once again 2010. This clean, easy-to-use survey website included standard features such as organisation hierarchy representation, opinion row highlighting, and tool-tip style definitions.
PHP Development
In conjunction with MilkyWay Multimedia, in 2007 I was contracted to build the ‘Find a Psychologist’ feature on the ACPCPP website. I built a completely customised system from the ground up using PHP and MySQL. On the public website is the search feature, allowing users to find psychologists by treatment areas, location and so on. On the back end is a system used to interface with the database, entering, removing and editing individual psychologist details.
